NICK CASSIDY AND JAGUAR TCS RACING LEAD THE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP STANDINGS AFTER BRILLIANT BERLIN VICTORY
• Nick Cassidy wins the 2024 Sun Minimeal Berlin E-Prix for Jaguar TCS Racing and achieves the Fastest Lap of the race
• Double-points finish: Mitch Evans climbed six places to finish fourth around the Tempelhof circuit
• Jaguar TCS Racing lead the Teams’ World Championship with 210 points and extend their lead to 64-points
• Nick Cassidy moves up to first position in the Drivers’ World Championship with Mitch Evans remaining in fifth

Berlin, Germany - 11 May 2024: Nick Cassidy and Jaguar TCS Racing took victory in an action-packed Berlin E-Prix and gained an additional point for the Fastest Lap on his drive to the front of the field, demonstrating the speed and efficiency of the Jaguar I-TYPE 6. The win marks the Kiwi’s sixth podium since he joined the British team at the start of the season.
Mitch Evans navigated his way through the field around the Tempelhof circuit, executing an impressive drive and climbing six places to finish the race in fourth. Mitch took the lead at two different points in the 46-lap race and his fourth-place finish adds valuable points to his championship campaign.
Nick lined up in P9, with Mitch in P10 in the German capital. In the opening laps, Mitch manoeuvred his way towards the front of the field and on lap 19 took the lead of the E-Prix. Mitch continued to cycle in the front pack for the second half of the race, working with the team to maintain strong efficiency and the timing of when he took his ATTACK MODE activations. Mitch led seven laps around the 2.585km racetrack and ultimately finished in a strong points scoring fourth place.
Nick lost a few places at the start and by lap 17, after the safety car, he was at the back of the pack. The team and Nick worked on an efficient strategy to ensure that he could maximise his available energy in the latter half of the race. As the race approached its closing laps, Nick used his energy advantage to cleanly carve his way through the field and into the lead to win the race by an impressive 4.6 seconds.

An incredible race strategy from the team and what a drive from Nick, when he needed to progress he did it cleanly and efficiently and that was a very impressive drive to move him into the lead of the Drivers’ World Championship. For Mitch, a brilliant performance all the way through, he was fighting for the lead throughout the E-Prix eventually finishing just outside the podium positions in P4, it was so nearly a podium for him. After what was a chaotic race at times – a double-points finish and another win is an incredible result and congratulations to the team. We will take all the learnings from today and come back again tomorrow to fight for more points and podiums in round 10 of the 2024 ABB FIA Formula E World Championship.”

P4 is still solid but I do feel a bit disappointed that I haven’t finished on the podium today, I felt strong in the pack I was racing, and we were in a good position energy wise. We’ll regroup tonight and come back fighting tomorrow.”
Nick Cassidy, Jaguar TCS Racing driver, #37: "I really didn’t expect to end up with the result we did today, but it feels great. In the first half of the race, I dropped to the back of the pack, and ultimately thought my race was over, but I had a lot more energy than a lot of the field ahead of me, and after the second safety car, I was able to maximise this energy advantage to make my way through the field. This is now my sixth podium in nine races, and I’m now back into the lead of the Drivers’ World Championship. We’ll keep pushing!”

The 2024 championship will take place on existing tracks and temporary street circuits in the centre of the world’s major cities including Mexico City, Diriyah and Monaco, with new locations including Tokyo and Shanghai. The season finale will play out across a double-header race weekend in London.
As an official manufacturer team in Formula E, Jaguar TCS Racing designs its own powertrain, which includes the motor, transmission, inverter, and rear suspension. Jaguar, via its long-term Formula E technical partner Fortescue WAE, will supply Envision Racing with its powertrain for the Gen3 era.
To control costs, the carbon fibre chassis and battery are common components and the same for all eleven teams. This allows the focus to be on developing efficient and lightweight electric vehicle powertrains which will improve the performance and range of future JLR electric vehicles.
Formula E remains a key priority for JLR and the company’s Reimagine strategy. As the premier all-electric world championship, Formula E allows the team to test and develop new electric vehicle technologies in a high-performance environment.
